![]() Perhaps Zodd was also involved in this event. It would certainly explain his immortality and knowledge of the Godhand. The way Gaiseric is holding the dying woman suggests a lovers' relationship, which makes me think he sacrificed her to gain power (I also seem to remember that one of the few things we know about Gaiseric is that he was the Alexander the Great of his day, constantly lusting after power and more worlds to conquer) and then immediately regretted it afterwards. I seem to remember that, at the very beginning of the Black Swordsman arc (before the flashback to Golden Age), there was some nobleman with a behelit who had the chance to become a Godhand if he sacrificed his daughter, and he couldn't do it. I dunno, wasn't there some condition that the person/people sacrificed to create a Godhand had to be someone important to the person they are being sacrificed for? Otherwise the sacrifice has no significance. I assumed it was Void who did the sacrificing to become a member of the god hand. Very excited for the next one.Īlso, condolences for Miura's friend. This one raised a lot of questions but also answered some. I have a feeling the next chapter would be even more monumental than this one. Maybe she was just was Casca was to Guts.īut that raises the question of how Slan knew SK and even addressed him as "Your majesty". That would also explain SK's connection to elves. She bears more of a resemblance to Danann. Or one by one, they just "retired" (for lack of a better word). If god hand members are born every 216 years, then maybe SK managed to kill 4 of them and Void "rebuilt" the god hand with Slan, Conrad, Ubik, etc. SK's condition also seems to mirror Guts' condition back then (Gedfring says "The memory seems to resonate with him"). The way he stands before all the other members mirrors how Femto stood before all the other members when he was born. The most probable one is that this was the birth of Void as a god hand member. The highlight of the chapter was definitely the "old" god hand. Miura has previously shown significant effort to make the apostles look distinct. I dont think the monsters that appear out of the tentacles are apostles. What caused it's previous owner's life to be consumed by the Berserker." Even Hanarr himself says "A blood memory that's seeped into the armor. ![]() Guts says "That right now.was for sure.the end-" and looks at SK. I am pretty sure this was where SK/King Gaiseric died. All thats left is just to explicitly state it in a chapter. We pretty much know at this point SK=King Gaiseric. This was probably one of the most important chapters we got in a while. ![]()
